The *paid* interns on the #TwitterVMTeam have been a constant source of discontinuous innovation in our R&D efforts.

Not to mention that many of them have since joined @TwitterEng full time and have proven, without exception, to be great hires.

So if you have a large, small, medium or startup company and can afford a *paid* internship program you should absolutely do it.
