My favorite stories were those of Xia Jia, along with "Invisible Planets" (whence the book takes it’s title) by Hao Jingfang.

The two stories by Liu Cixin were also thought provoking, but he regresses to the same conservative tropes as in his "Three-Body" trilogy.
