Every now and then, when scrolling through #MAGA spam tweets on my TL, I think of the Mailman from Vernon Vinge’s story "True Names".
The accounts behind this #MAGA spam are so shoddily constructed that they are obviously not real people with real opinions.
But what if, I sometimes wonder, it’s not some Russian troll farm behind all this InfoWars/FakeNews/conspiracy junk...

It’d be a small consolation if the impending apocalypse was actually a side-effect of the singularity and not just America being dumb.
