@pavan_ky …and attempting to leapfrog the current state-of-the art in terms of ML and hyperscale data pipelines. (as well as other core platform tech)
@pavan_ky Otherwise Twitter will pay a huge premium to achieve functional parity with every other company running on GCP or AWS.
@pavan_ky Basically I’d argue that Twitter *has* to execute and iterate faster than @Meta and @tiktok_us and whoever is next.
@pavan_ky @Meta @tiktok_us And I don’t see how they can do that by paying $$$$$$$$$$$ to cloud providers for the same commodity infrastructure that everyone else uses.
